Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger Tube ASME SA213 TP304L ASTM A262 Practice E

Our tubes are engineered for superior corrosion resistance, high-temperature stability, and longevity in demanding applications like petrochemical plants, power generation, and HVAC systems.
1. SA213 TP304L Applicable Standards
ASME SA213: Governs material and manufacturing requirements for seamless stainless steel tubes in boilers, superheaters, and heat exchangers.
ASME Section VIII Div.1: Defines welding and thermal treatment protocols for pressure vessel construction.
2. SA213 TP304L Heat Treatment Requirements
Cold bending: Solution annealing is mandatory if deformation exceeds 15% to mitigate residual stresses and restore corrosion resistance.
Hot bending: No additional treatment required when bent within the austenitic stabilization range (900-1150°C). Avoid prolonged exposure to sensitization zones (450-850°C) to prevent carbide precipitation.
Critical service: Thermal processing is essential for pipes exposed to corrosive media or extreme pressure/temperature conditions.
3. SA213 TP304L Thermal Processing Parameters
(1) Solution Annealing (Preferred)
Temperature: 1040-1120°C (1904-2048°F)
Soaking duration: Minimum 30 minutes, with 1 minute per mm wall thickness for uniform heating.
Cooling method: Rapid quenching (water) or forced air cooling to stabilize austenitic microstructure.
