EN10216-5 UNS32205 Seamless Tube
EN10216-5 specifies technical delivery conditions for seamless stainless steel tubes intended for pressure applications. It covers chemical composition, mechanical properties, testing methods, dimensions, and tolerances to ensure safety and performance under pressure.
UNS S32205 is a duplex stainless steel (22% Cr, 5-6% Ni, 3% Mo, and nitrogen), combining austenitic and ferritic structures.
High strength (double that of standard austenitic steels), excellent corrosion resistance (especially in chloride environments), and resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
Produced via extrusion or rotary piercing, eliminating weld seams for enhanced strength and reliability in high-pressure applications.
Includes hot/cold working and heat treatment to achieve desired mechanical properties and microstructure.
