What Is Stainless Steel 316L Pipe Fittings?
Lowering of carbon in any austenitic stainless steel alloy proves to be detrimental to the fittings. To solve this problem, manufacturers add some amount of nitrogen in the alloy of UNS S31603 316L Stainless Steel Fittings bringing its mechanical properties on similar lines to that of stainless steel alloy 316. Compared to grade 316, the pitting resistance properties of ASME B16.9 SS 316L Fitting is much higher.
