Ductile iron Y-type filter function and application:
This product is designed to remove foreign matter from pipelines and provide protection for pumps, meters, valves and other similar mechanical equipment, it is called a strainer. "Y" filters are named after their shape and are often used for course filtering. But with a large filtering area, fine mesh can be used also. This filter improves clearance in the medium term and prolongs valve life, protecting expensive pumps, meters and other equipment. It is suitable for water, air, gas, oil, steam and other fluids.
What is the difference between a ductile iron Y-strainer and a strainer? It includes a single-use media for removing particles of specified micron size.
Simply put, a screen is also a filter, but it uses a perforated plate or screen to remove larger particles from the process stream. The main advantage of a filter is that it is reusable.
This product is mainly set on various water supply and drainage or steam and gas pipelines and used to protect other piping or valve from getting damaged by the fragments and impurities in the system.
