Aramid fabrics have become the product of choice in a wide range of high temperature filtration processes. The thermal resistance offered by aramid fibers is a key property in protecting against sparks, a common concern in asphalt production.
Fabrics made from aramid fibers can be used in applications where the operating temperature does not exceed 200°C (392°F). Aramid fibers possess good resistance to oxidizing agents; however they possess relatively poor resistance to acids – especially in high moisture applications.
