Overview

Tungsten Heavy Alloy WNiFe Weights is a kind of balancing or weighting component made of tungsten-nickel-iron alloy as the main raw material. It has the advantages of high density, high strength, strong corrosion resistance, good high-temperature resistance, and easy machining. It can play the role of balancing weight increase and auxiliary assembly in a limited space.

Application

1. Aerospace: Satellite attitude control counterweights, aircraft engine balance blocks, and engine turbine blade counterweights can avoid counterweight failure caused by temperature rise, and achieve precise counterweighting in a small space.
2. Automotive industry: Tungsten Heavy Alloy WNiFe Weights can be used for engine crankshaft counterweights, which can withstand the centrifugal force and vibration of high-speed rotation, avoid deformation or breakage, and extend the life of the engine.
3. Industrial equipment: The moving parts of injection molding machines and stamping machines can resist long-term mechanical impact and extend the service life.
4. Marine engineering: Ship propeller counterweights can reduce weight changes caused by seawater corrosion and maintain ship balance.
5. Chemical equipment: The counterweight components of reactor agitators, tungsten alloys, are sufficient to resist chemical medium erosion and ensure the smooth progress of chemical production processes.

Process

① Mix tungsten powder and bonding metal (such as nickel, iron, copper, etc.) in proportion, and crush them into uniform powder by ball mill.

② Press and mold at 100-300MPa pressure in the mold to form a green body with a certain strength.

③ Sinter at 1300-1500℃ in vacuum or hydrogen atmosphere, and improve density through hot isostatic pressing and aging treatment.

④ High-precision processing, such as turning, wire cutting, and EDM, can make complex shapes and ensure dimensional accuracy.

⑤ The surface is electroplated and polished, and a comprehensive quality inspection is carried out before shipment.

Grade

90WNiFe:density is about 17.1±0.15g/cm³, hardness is 24-28HRC, tensile strength is 900-1000MPa, and elongation is 18%-29%. This grade has good plasticity and toughness, and performs well in some application scenarios that require a certain degree of deformation ability, such as being used to manufacture some counterweight components that require toughness.

93WNiFe: has a higher density, generally around 18.8g/cm³. They all have good radiation shielding capabilities. Under the same thickness conditions, the radiation shielding ability is more than 1.7 times that of lead. At the same time, the thermal expansion coefficient is small, the thermal conductivity coefficient is large, and it has good processability and weldability. It is often used for radiation protection and guidance, such as various CT, linear accelerators, and other equipment, and can also be used for industrial counterweight components.
