Tungsten Alloy Balance Weight is usually composed of tungsten nickel iron, tungsten nickel copper, or even tungsten nickel copper iron. Cobalt, molybdenum, cadmium and other metal elements are also added to some tungsten alloys. It can be made into any shape. High specific gravity tungsten alloy tubes are often used in nuclear shielding and military products, such as shotgun weights, hunting gear, missiles, armor piercing ammunition, oil drill weights, etc.

The tungsten content in heavy tungsten alloys ranges from 90%%~98%, which is the reason for its high density (16.5~19.00g/cc). Nickel, iron and / or copper are used as metal binder substrates to hold fragile tungsten particles together, making tungsten alloys ductile and easy to work. Ferronickel is the most commonly used additive, and its ratio is 7ni:3fe or 8ni:2fe (weight ratio).
Tungsten alloy pipe has the advantages of high density (60% higher than lead), good mechanical strength, low thermal expansion, good corrosion resistance, high radiation absorption capacity (higher than lead), simple economic cycle, high strength and high specific gravity. It is a suitable material for manufacturing radiation shielding components. The high-density tungsten alloy tube has the same radiation shielding capacity as lead, while reducing the volume and thickness of the shielding container. Compared with lead and depleted uranium, tungsten alloys have the advantages of non-toxic and pollution-free. High gravity tungsten alloy tubes are mainly used for shielding medicine bottles and syringes.
