Brushed stainless steel Plate — also known as Hairline Finish or HL Finish — is produced through a mechanical abrasion process that creates a consistent, unidirectional grain pattern across the metal surface.
Unlike mirror or bright annealed finishes, the brushed surface features a satin-like appearancewith fine parallel lines running along the length of the sheet. This distinctive texture is achieved by grinding the surface with abrasive belts or brushes in a single direction, resulting in a smooth, non-reflective finish.
In architectural design and premium manufacturing, the HL (Hairline) Finish is the preferred choice for modern, high-end surfaces. Defined by its distinctive linear grain and subtle satin luster, this finish elevates standard stainless steel into a sophisticated material that seamlessly combines industrial durability with contemporary elegance.
The brushed finish is achieved through a precision mechanical process. A 2B or BA stainless steel substrate is uniformly ground in a single direction to create a consistent linear grain pattern. The surface is then cleaned, dried, and protected with a PVC film — resulting in a durable, satin-finished product ideally suited for architectural and decorative applications.

Stainless steel can be magnetic depending on its internal structure. Austenitic grades like 304 and 316 are normally non-magnetic, but ferritic (430) and martensitic (410) grades are magnetic due to their different crystal structure. Even 304 or 316 may become slightly magnetic after cold working such as bending or stamping, which transforms some austenite into martensite. Therefore, magnetism does not indicate quality — it simply reflects the steel's microstructure and processing history.
For standard materials and sizes held in stock, delivery is guaranteed within 3 days of payment receipt. For products requiring custom dimensions or surface finishes, the lead time is 7 to 15 working days after payment confirmation. Specific delivery schedules should be confirmed with customer service at the time of order placement.
A substantial inventory is maintained to ensure prompt delivery. Stock availability varies by material grade and dimensions. To avoid potential delays, please confirm current stock levels with your sales representative prior to placing an order.
Applicable product standards must be specified at the time of order. For projects with specific technical requirements, please provide detailed parameters, tolerance ranges, and other relevant specifications. A dedicated quality inspection department oversees all stages of production to ensure full compliance. Upon completion, accurate measurements, inspection images, video documentation, and material test reports are provided for customer confirmation.
Complimentary samples are available in any size; however, international shipping fees apply. These charges are deductible from future order payments following formal cooperation. Customized samples are also available for a fee. For further details, please consult your sales representative.
Custom markings on outer packaging are available upon request at no additional cost. Once the marking design is approved, it will be affixed using waterproof tape. If no specific marking is requested, packaging will be shipped without markings by default.
Material grade, dimensions, and other identifying information may be spray-marked directly onto the steel plate surface upon request. For applicable charges, please consult your sales representative.
Standard wooden pallet packaging is provided at no extra cost, with a loading capacity of 1 to 3 tons per pallet. Alternative packaging options, such as iron pallets, are available upon request. Please contact your sales representative for details — bulk orders qualify for preferential pricing.
We maintain partnerships with multiple freight forwarders to offer competitive land, air, and sea freight options. If you have a preferred freight forwarder, we can arrange delivery to your agent's warehouse or to the designated port of shipment.
Factory inspections and product inspections are fully supported. Customers are welcome to visit our facility for in-person inspections. Alternatively, third-party inspection agencies, including SGS, may be arranged to conduct on‑site inspections.
