Premium Freeze-Thaw Crack Resistance - Tested to withstand rigorous international engineering freeze-thaw chamber tests, our traditional Gen-1 WPC decking maintains flawless structural memory. Because the wood fibers are fully sealed within a dense polymer grid, trapped moisture cannot expand into internal ice crystals, preventing splitting or delamination in arctic winters.
Engineered Fast Drainage Linear Channels - The top surface features classic deep-grooved linear channels designed to manipulate water surface tension. During heavy downpours or melting snow cycles, the profiling acts as functional aqueducts, allowing water to run off fast and gravity-drain immediately, keeping the stepping area dry and safe.

How to Install
1. Subframe Spacing (Max 350mm)
Install your joists (wood or aluminum) on a level, draining foundation. Joist spacing must be a maximum of 350mm center-to-center to prevent the deck from sagging.
2. Lock the First Board
Screw Starter Clips into the edge of each joist. Slide the groove of your first WPC board firmly into these clips to lock the outer perimeter without surface screws.
3. Install Center Clips
Slide Hidden Fastening Clips into the inner groove of the board at every joist intersection and screw them down. These clips automatically create the mandatory 5mm side-to-side expansion gap. Slide the next board into place and repeat.
4. Manage End-to-End Joints (Double Joists)
Where two board ends meet:
Must use Double Joists: Each board end must rest on its own independent joist and clip.
Leave an Expansion Gap: Leave a 5mm to 8mm end-to-end gap so the boards can expand in summer without buckling.
5. Perimeter Wall Gap & Fascia
Wall Clearance: Always leave a 10mm gap between the decking and any brick wall or solid structure.
Finishing: Cover exposed hollow edges by screwing on a WPC Fascia Trim around the perimeter.

A1: Winter cracking happens when standard composites absorb water; that water freezes, expands, and tears the material apart from the inside. Our freeze-thaw resistant decking limits water absorption to less than 1%, leaving no room for destructive internal ice expansion, which guarantees long-term structural safety.
Q2: Does the fast drainage groove design help to prevent public slip hazards on scenic trails?
A2: Yes, significantly. In rainy regions or misty mountain trails, smooth surfaces cause dangerous hydroplaning. The fast drainage deep grooves actively clear the water from under foot traffic, maintaining a high coefficient of physical friction. This ensures visitors have reliable traction, reducing public liability.
Q3: Can heavy snow shovels or salt ice-melters damage the surface of this traditional WPC decking?
A3: Plastic snow shovels and standard rock salt or calcium chloride ice-melters will not damage our heavy-duty traditional WPC surface. Because the material is chemically inert and wear-resistant, the salt will not cause chemical pitting or corrosion, making winter maintenance simple and worry-free.
Q4: Is a fast drainage hollow profile better than a solid profile for cold, rainy climates?
A4: Both perform exceptionally well when properly engineered. However, our thick-walled hollow profiles offer an added engineering advantage in cold climates: the internal empty chambers provide natural thermal insulation and ventilation paths, allowing the deck skeleton to dry out faster after heavy winter snowfalls.
