Construction

The wire thread insert is made of high-hardness, corrosion-resistant steel wire with a diamond-shaped cross-section. It is a spring-shaped concentric body of internal and external threads. The standard internal thread used for fastening parts has a cross-sectional shape that is a combination of two internal and external threads. Wire thread inserts are divided into two types: ordinary type and locking type, each with or without breaking grooves and with breaking grooves.

The locking type is a polygonal locking ring with one or more turns on the basis of the ordinary screw sleeve. The elasticity of the locking ring has a braking effect on the screw. The locking wire thread insert has all the advantages of the ordinary wire thread insert, does not affect the installation of the screw, and only increases the appropriate torque during installation.

Features

(1)  The diameter of the wire thread insert in the free state is slightly larger than the diameter of the screw hole into which it is inserted. When assembling, the wire thread insert is subjected to a special wrench to make its diameter smaller and enters the threaded hole that has been tapped with a special tap. After being installed, the wire threaded sleeve produces a spring expansion effect, making it firmly fixed in the threaded hole, and will never be brought out with the screw out.

(2)  Increase the load-bearing capacity and fatigue strength of the threaded connection: the wire threaded sleeve makes the screw and the internal threaded hole for the installation of the wire threaded sleeve form an elastic connection, thus eliminating the pitch and tooth form half-angle error between the internal and external threads. The load on each thread is evenly distributed over the specified length, thereby strengthening the internal thread and damping vibration, so the fatigue strength of the threaded connection of the parts can be improved.

(3)  Wear resistance: The wire thread insert is precisely wound by extremely hard cold-rolled stainless steel wire, the spiral surface hardness can reach HRC43～50, and the mirror-like surface (the smoothness can reach 2～4μm) reduces friction and wear. , Can reduce the torque generated by friction on the screw by 90%, so that the maximum pre-tightening torque and screw tension can be obtained with the minimum screw torque to prevent the screw from loosening, so that the screws of various materials are in the best use condition.
