1. What is a Idler?

In manufacturing, the idler is crafted via either the alkali phenolic resin sand casting process or sodium silicate-bonded sand casting process. After undergoing specialized heat treatment, it achieves a minimum surface hardness of HRC48-58 and a hardened layer depth of 4-6mm (HRC45)—attributes that enable it to deliver exceptional impact resistance and wear resistance, even in harsh working environments like mining or construction.
To ensure precision, the idler is further refined on a CK5110 large-scale precision CNC vertical lathe, resulting in impeccable dimensional accuracy and superior surface finish quality. This comprehensive, multi-step manufacturing approach guarantees that the finished CHT idler delivers consistent stability during operation and a reliably long service life—while fewer replacement cycles (thanks to extended durability) also directly decrease workers’ exposure to safety hazards during maintenance.
