   The core working principle of LED automotive headlights lies in the electro-optical conversion process of semiconductor light-emitting diodes (leds), combined with the adaptive design of the automotive electrical system, to achieve efficient and stable lighting functions. Its principle can be broken down into three key links: "core luminescence mechanism", "circuit drive adaptation", and "optical system regulation", as follows:

The power supply provided by a car is 12V low-voltage direct current (some new energy vehicle models use high-voltage platforms, such as 48V), while the rated working voltage of LED beads is usually relatively low (the voltage of a single white LED bead is about 3-3.6V), and the working current is stable (precise control is required, otherwise it is prone to burnout). Therefore, it must be adapted through a "drive circuit" Core functions include:
Voltage conversion and stabilization: The 12V voltage of the car battery is reduced to the rated voltage required by the LED beads through a DC-DC converter, and the output is stabilized (to avoid voltage fluctuations during car start-up and acceleration that may cause flicker or brightness changes in the lights).
Constant current control: The brightness of an LED is directly proportional to the current. The driving circuit will stabilize the current at the rated value through a "constant current chip" (for example, the current of a single LED chip is approximately 300-700mA), preventing excessive current from burning out the LED chip while ensuring uniform brightness.
Overvoltage/overcurrent protection: When there is a sudden increase in voltage (such as generator failure) or abnormal current in the vehicle's circuit, the drive circuit will automatically cut off the power supply to protect the LED beads and the safety of the entire vehicle's circuit.
Temperature protection: When leds are in operation, they generate a small amount of heat (though less than halogen lamps and xenon lamps, excessively high temperatures can affect their lifespan). The built-in temperature sensor in the driving circuit will monitor the temperature of the LED beads in real time. If the temperature exceeds the threshold (such as 80-100℃), it will automatically reduce the current or stop working to prevent overheating and damage.
