A trimming die is a helical forming tool used to form the head of a screw. Square, hexagonal, and octagonal are common types of trimming dies.
Trimming dies are used to make hex head or square head bolts to form the head shape. There are many kinds of materials to choose from, such as M2 or M35, etc. In order to prolong the service life, there are quite a few materials coated with Tin/TiALN.
