Stab-in Casing Float Collar And Float Shoe API or As required
The Stab-In Float Collar & Shoe approach is a highly effective method for cementing large diameter casings. It entails the direct insertion of the drill pipe into either the Float Shoe or Collar, which provides a pathway for the cement to be pumped through until it reaches the surface. Following this, the cement is displaced to the bottom of the Drill Pipe by using a wiper dart. Finally, the drill pipe is circled, retrieved, and removed from the wellbore.
In addition, one must use large plugs to isolate the cement from the mud and drill out any cement that has accumulated in the casing. It is noteworthy that the Stab-In Float Collar & Shoe approach is specifically tailored towards cementing large diameter casings that are lowered using drill pipe. This technique is crucial when managing high displacement volumes associated with large diameter casings, and requires specialised considerations when conducting cementing operations.
