It is used in the construction of surgical and dental instruments, kidney dishes and operating tables, as well as other medical equipment such as cannulas, steam sterilizers and MRI scanners.X12CrNiMo17-12-2 (EN 1.4401) / 316S31 (BS) is a molybdenum-enhanced austenitic stainless steel offering superior corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides and acidic environments. With 16-18% chromium (Cr), 10-14% nickel (Ni), and 2-3% molybdenum (Mo), it provides excellent durability and formability.
