316TI is a metal material. Ti is added to 316 steel to improve its intergranular corrosion resistance. It is applied to equipment resistant to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and acetic acid. These attributes refer to products with similar but different attributes that are specified for other products, such as plates and forgings, in their respective specifications. Lower minimum pre - and post heat temperatures reduce the incidence rate of weld cracking and simplify welding. A low hardness drop in the heat affected zone minimizes deterioration in mold properties.
