One-kilohertz tuning—down to 1 Hz with the fractional-N option—makes it a crystal-clean local oscillator, while its –80 dBc/Hz phase-noise floor keeps mixer and phase-noise measurements honest. Fitted with the 110 dB electronic step attenuator, it supplies a calibrated +13 dBm to –110 dBm span for PA compression, receiver sensitivity and EMC tasks without external pads.
Fast band switching, list sweeps and SCPI/LAN control let the generator plug straight into automated R & D or production benches, giving Keysight-grade signal purity and long-term serviceability at a fraction of new-instrument cost.
