Solid Acrylic Resin Product Description:
Thermoplastic acrylic resin A class of thermoplastic resins made by polymerization of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and their derivatives (such as esters, nitriles, amides). It can be repeatedly softened by heat and solidified by cooling. Generally linear polymer compounds, can be homopolymer, can also be copolymer, with good physical and mechanical properties, weather resistance, chemical resistance and water resistance, high light and color retention. The molecular weight of the thermoplastic acrylic resin used in the coating industry is generally 75 000 ~ 120 000, and it is commonly used with cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate butyrate and pervinyl chloride resin to improve the coating performance.
Thermoplastic acrylic resin is a kind of solvent-based acrylic resin, which can be melted and dissolved in the appropriate solvent, and the coating prepared by it depends on the aggregation of macromolecules after volatilization of the solvent to form a film, and there is no cross-linking reaction during film formation, which is a non-reactive coating. In order to achieve better physical and chemical properties, the molecular weight of the resin should be larger, but in order to ensure that the solid fraction is not too low, the molecular weight can not be too large, generally in tens of thousands of times, physical and chemical properties and construction properties are more balanced.
