Key Structure:
Zirconium dioxide ceramic body: Typically in the form of a test tube or flat plate.
Platinum Electrode: A porous platinum layer sintered onto the inner and outer surfaces of the ceramic body, providing both electrical conductivity and gas permeability.
Heater: A built-in ceramic heating rod that quickly (typically within 30 seconds) raises the sensor to operating temperature (approximately 600-800°C).
Metal Housing: A housing with ventilation holes for mechanical attachment and physical protection.
Multi-layered Protective Layer: Includes a porous ceramic protective layer (for corrosion and erosion protection) and a dense isolation layer (to prevent electrode poisoning).

The oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust manifold downpipes before the catalytic converter or between the exhaust manifolds and the catalytic converters.
