Custom-Manufactured Hydro-Turbine Shaft Sleeve for Hydropower Plants
During long-term operation of hydro-turbine units, the main-shaft surface bears water erosion, particle abrasion and friction contact with bearings and shaft seals. Without shaft-sleeve protection, the main shaft will suffer scratch, corrosion and wear defects. Repairing or replacing the integral main shaft will bring extremely high cost and long downtime.
The shaft sleeve is fitted onto the main-shaft surface. It bears friction, scouring and corrosion instead of the main shaft. Once reaching wear limit, the shaft sleeve can be replaced independently, greatly lowering maintenance expense and shortening overhaul period.
We deliver tailor-made shaft-sleeve solutions strictly based on customer drawings, shaft size, operating speed, water quality and actual site working conditions.

Professional surface strengthening treatment: Hard chromium plating, alloy spraying, overlay welding, babbitt alloy lining are available. Effectively improve anti-wear, anti-cavitation and anti-erosion performance.
Precision machining: Strictly control inner-hole tolerance, roundness, cylindricity and surface roughness. Ensure good fitting with main shaft and stable rotating operation, reduce vibration risk.
Reliable anti-loosening structure: Matching locking structure can be customized to prevent relative slipping between sleeve and main shaft under long-time rotating condition.
Full-range customization service: Inner diameter, outer diameter, axial length, material grade, surface treatment and fitting tolerance can be customized for new-build, retrofit and overhaul projects. Every finished shaft sleeve passes dimensional measurement, non-destructive flaw detection and surface inspection before ex-factory.
