The GE IS200TPROH1CAA is a Turbine Protection Board, a critical safety component in GE’s Mark VIe control system, working alongside the VPRO system to form the turbine’s core protection architecture. It operates independently to deliver essential signals for emergency overspeed and synchronization protection, ensuring rapid response to hazardous conditions. As part of a triple-redundant setup, it functions separately from the main turbine control system, enhancing reliability by minimizing single points of failure.
Integrated with TREx terminals and trip solenoids, it supplies speed, generator, and temperature signals to the VPRO system, which coordinates emergency trips. Its design prioritizes safety, with redundant components and a voting mechanism to ensure fault tolerance in critical operations.
