Geogrids
Geogrid is based on fiberglass woven cloth coated with modified bitumen or PVC, it was developed to address the problem of pavement cracking on highways, roads and runways, driven by a need to reduce cost for infrastructure maintenance and repair.
It is characterized by high tensile strength in axial and lateral directions, low stretch rate, alkali-resistance, low temperature- resistance, as well as convenience in construction and low price. It can be used on pitch pavement to prevent cracks and prolong pavement service life. It also can be used as a basal reinforcement material for hillsides, reservoirs, harbors,ports, water channels, seawalls, etc.
1.High tension resistance, high plane torsion resistance modulus, good creep resistance and stable chemical nature.
2.High mechanic damage resistance and durability and large friction factor with sandy stone.
3. Improve the bearing capacity of the roadbed and extend the service life of the roadbed.
4. It can decrease 30%-40% of filling thickness for reaching same effect, save cost.
5. Convenient construction, saving effort, shortening construction period and reducing maintenance cost.
6. Strengthen soil slopes to prevent soil erosion.
7. Can replace metal mesh, used in coal mine underground false roof network.
8. Supporting the stability of grass slope mats, greening environment.
Geogrid usage
1. Reinforcement of road beds of various highways, railways and airports.
2. Reinforcement of permanent bearing road beds of large parking area and dock goods yard.
3. Slope protections and culvert reinforcement of railway and highway.
4. Secondary reinforcement of soil slope after unidirectional tension geotechnical grid reinforcement and further reinforcement of soil slope sp as to avoid soil erosion.
