Acoustic head: It can convert electrical signals into sound waves and also convert received echoes into electrical signals. The lens on the surface of the probe is the acoustic lens.
Probe cable: Transmits electrical signals between the probe head and the connector.
Probe connector: Connect the probe to the ultrasound system.
Cleaning and disinfection steps for the cables and connectors of the probe:
1. Remove the probe from the host;
2. Adjust the direction of the probe and connector, placing them with their contact surfaces facing upwards;
3. Use a soft cloth moistened with warm soap solution or disinfectant to clean the cables and connectors. The soft bristled brush can only be used to wash the metal surface of the connector. Do not allow liquid to enter the probe and the device through the probe tail cover or the area around the connector tail cover.
4. Prepare disinfectant;
5. Wipe or spray cables and connectors with disinfectant. For wiping time, solution concentration, and contact time between disinfectant and cables, please follow the instructions on the disinfectant label to ensure that the disinfectant concentration and contact time are suitable for the specific clinical use of the device, and disinfectant should not enter the device, connector, or contact connector label;
6. According to the instructions on the disinfectant label, use air drying or wipe dry with a disinfected soft cloth;
7. Check the appearance of the probe cable for any damage (cracking, breakage, liquid ingress, etc.), please stop using.
