Cleanroom Fan Filter Units are a vital part of cleanroom air systems. Air is drawn inward by a fan, processed with HEPA or ULPA filters and spread out uniformly in the workspace to make certain cleanliness is as required by the standards.
Fan Filter Unit Design is 575 mm width, 575 mm length and 230 mm height, with airflow of 500 m³/h and 210Pa pressure. These systems are appropriate for spaces of medium or small size with clean ceilings.
HEPA filters are standalone units that use the cleanroom’s air supply to pressurize air through their material, trapping dust particles.
A Fan Filter Unit (FFU) does the same thing as an air handler, but it is a smaller self-contained system that includes a fan, filters the air and delivers it at a constant rate, without using the central air conditioner or ducts.
For this reason, FFUs give people more control and freedom, so they work best in retrofitted cleanrooms, dedicated workstations and clean places with very strict conditions.
