Working principle of solid waste alternative fuel shredder
The shredding process of solid waste alternative fuel shredder is centered on "shear-tear-extrusion", and is designed in combination with the special needs of RDF production (such as material homogenization, calorific value stability, etc.). The specific process is as follows:
1. Feeding and pretreatment: solid waste materials (such as mixed garbage, waste plastics, tires, etc.) enter the crushing chamber through a conveyor belt. Some equipment is equipped with magnetic separation or screening devices to pre-remove non-combustible impurities such as metals and stones.
2. Multi-dimensional crushing: The equipment usually adopts a double-axis or four-axis knife roller structure. The blades on the knife roller are staggered. Through relatively low speed (10-30 rpm) and high torque rotation, the material is sheared (blade cutting), torn (knife hooking) and squeezed (chamber wall and knife cooperation), breaking large pieces of material into uniform fragments (usually the particle size is controlled at 30-100mm).

1. Improve the efficiency of solid waste fuelization
- The specific surface area of the crushed material is increased, and it is more fully in contact with the air during combustion, which can improve the combustion efficiency (15%-30% higher than that of uncrushed solid waste), reduce black smoke and unburned residues.
- Homogenized fragments can stabilize the calorific value (such as controlling it at 15-25MJ/kg), meeting the requirements of industrial boilers and incinerators for fuel stability.
2. Strengthen solid waste reduction and resource utilization
- The volume of solid waste is reduced by 50%-70% after crushing, reducing transportation and storage costs; at the same time, the solid waste that originally needed to be landfilled or incinerated is converted into energy that can replace coal and natural gas, reducing fossil fuel consumption.
3. Adapt to complex materials and strong compatibility
- It can handle a variety of solid waste types, including mixed municipal garbage, waste plastics (PE, PP), tires, wood scraps, biomass straw, etc., which can be crushed without strict classification, reducing the pre-treatment threshold.
