The Mellanox LinkX™ MC2309130-003 is a high-performance hybrid passive copper cable designed to provide reliable and cost-effective 10Gb/s connectivity between QSFP and SFP+ ports. This passive fiber cable alternative is engineered for data center and enterprise networking environments where power efficiency, signal integrity, and durability are critical. It supports a maximum reach of 3 meters and is built to meet rigorous industry standards.
This hybrid passive copper cable incorporates advanced signal processing technology to ensure minimal insertion loss and crosstalk. It complies with InfiniBand architecture, QSFP MSA (SFF-8436), and SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431) standards. The cable is 100% tested on Mellanox adapters and switches for guaranteed compatibility.
The passive copper cable operates by transmitting electrical signals directly between the QSFP and SFP+ connectors without signal amplification. This results in lower power consumption and reduced heat generation compared to active optical cables. The impedance-matched design ensures signal integrity across the full 3-meter length.
