• For the cover: Separate nylon tows (often with the same orange colorant) are twisted into outer strands, with a slightly tighter twist than the core to ensure a dense, abrasion-resistant surface. The outer strand count is also calibrated (usually 12–16 strands) to match the core’s diameter and create a uniform braid.

Step 3: Double Braiding (Core-Cover Integration)

• The inner core is braided first, forming a tight, tubular structure that serves as the rope’s primary load-bearing component.
