Q1: How many amps does a RV water pump use?
A1: While most RV water pumps draw very little electricity, high-volume pumps can draw up to 15 amps of power
 
Q2: How often do you need to add water to RV battery?
A2: I recommend checking the water level monthly and after each RV trip. If you leave the RV plugged in, constantly charging the battery, you should check the water levels bi-monthly. Next it's important to know you only add water to a fully charged battery, unless the water level is already below the plates in the cell.
 
Q3: What should the water pressure be in my RV?
A3: What is safe water pressure in an RV? 40- 50 psi. A pressure regulator protects your plumbing system from pressure problems. Not all campgrounds monitor their water pressure, and many times, the pressure is inconsistent.
 
Q4: Why do RV batteries lose water?
A4: RV batteries are typically flooded batteries with removable caps. Over time, the charging process will boil off the water in the flooded cells. Batteries can also lose water through evaporation.
 
Q5: Do RV batteries need maintenance?
A5: When your RV is in storage, check your battery at least every 90 days or so. Storing a battery in a discharged state can cause the lead sulfate inside it to harden, thereby shortening its lifespan. You may also want to consider a maintenance charger, which will keep your battery charged without overcharging it.
