The cooling system of the control cabinet is divided into two cooling circuits. In the outer zone, the ballast resistor and the heat sinks of the KPP and KSP are cooled directly by ambient air.
Air intake is via the external fan installed at the rear of the control cabinet.
KUKA external fan is an important part of Kuka robot control cabinet, its main role is to heat. Prolonged use may lead to the accumulation of a large amount of dust on the fan, which may reduce the speed of the fan, thus affecting the normal operation of the robot. Therefore, regular cleaning and maintenance is very important.
If the Kuka robot demonstrator indicates that the fan is damaged, it may need to be replaced. To replace an external fan, follow the following steps: remove the fan plug from the control panel, remove the backplane, screws, and cables, remove the fan support and fan, install and secure the new fan with the support, and connect the cables and plug again. During the replacement process, the robot control system must be kept off and the power cord disconnected to ensure the safety of operation.
