About 1747-SDN
The 1747-SDN SLC 500 DeviceNet Scanner Module by is a communication module located on the SLC 5/02 chassis which provides a communication link between the SLC 500 processors and the DeviceNet devices. It has 63 node addresses with a Baud rate of 125Kbps and it can communicate with DeviceNet devices by reading and writing inputs, downloading configuration data, and monitoring the operational status of the devices, all at a rate of 125Kbps. It is an interface between the SLC processor and a DeviceNet device, and it can communicate with a processor through M1/M0 file transfers and via a discrete I/O.
The 1747-SDN exchanges configuration data, the device I/O data, and status information with the SLC 500 processor at a Baud rate of 125Kbps. It draws a backplane current of 500mA at 5 Volts DC and of 90mA at 24 Volts DC and it provides a 30 Volts circuit isolation using the Basic Insulation Type tested at 500V AC for 60 seconds between DeviceNet-to-backplane. The 1747-SDN has an IEC tested operational temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius (32 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit) at 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity and it is stored at a -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40-185 degree Fahrenheit) temperature range. It also has an IEC-tested operational vibration withstand of 2G at 10-500Hz and a maximum shock rating of 30G. It has a CISPR 11, Group 1, Class A Emission rating and is designated the T5 North America temperature code. It comes in an open-style enclosure and it is c-UL-us and CE-certified.
