The 2711P-RN15S is an Optional ControlNet Communication Module for PanelView™ Plus 700 -1500 terminals. This module supports unscheduled and scheduled messages. There are also scheduled I/O and excessive cabling. The cable comes with PLC-5C and ControlLogix controllers. The 2711P-RN15S supports as many as 99 nodes via its taps. It has no minimum tap separation, which means that you can access the ControlNet network from any node (including the adapter). The latest version of the ControlNet Unscheduled Communication module firmware is REV A (revision 2.07 or later) and the latest version of the ControlNet Scheduled Communication module firmware is REV C (revision 3.08 or later). The 2711P-RN15S is not compatible with FactoryTalk View ME version 3.20.04 or any earlier revision. All ControlNet modules with 3.07 firmware revisions should be upgraded to accommodate revisions 3.08 or later. Otherwise, the output can change to an uncertain state.
The 2711P-RN15S is an open network that can control networks in real time for high-speed applications. This module uses Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) to combine I / O network functionality. Peer-to-peer networks in this module provide high-speed performance for both functions. This module gives you detailed transfers and repeats all the control data. This module can transfer important data in a short period of time. The 2711P-RN15S communicates with the controller in the form of I/O. Do not connect more than 1 ControlNet network to the 2711P-RN15S. This will make the connection problematic. And do not connect and disconnect the module when the power is applied because this can cause electrical explosions. The 2711P-RN15S weighs 3 pounds and has dimensions of 11 by 8 by 6 inches.
