Description:

The Sun Hydraulic Valve LODS-XDN is a high-performance hydraulic cartridge valve manufactured by Sun Hydraulics and part of its Logic Unit series. This valve features an unbalanced design with a spring-biased closed function, acting as a bidirectional switching element. Its operating principle is based on the balance of hydraulic pressure and mechanical force, with the valve opening and closing controlled by controlling the pressure at different ports. The LODS-XDN valve is spring-biased closed. Pressure at working port 1 or 2 resists the spring force and tends to open the valve, while pressure at port 3 tends to close it. The force applied at port 3 plus the spring force must exceed the combined forces acting at ports 1 and 2 for the valve to remain closed. The valve utilizes a floating design to minimize the possibility of internal component binding caused by excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining errors. Furthermore, the LODS-XDN valve provides a positive seal between port 2 and the pilot area, ensuring a secure seal.
