FPC Design Parameters:
1. Dimensional Precision:
Maximum size for precision FPC: 240mm x 500mm (tolerance up to 250mm x 500mm)
Minimum size: No restriction
Roll material board: Maximum width 240mm, maximum length 100 meters
2. Board Layer Options:
Single-layer FPC: Ideal for simple circuitry applications such as industrial control and electronic instrumentation.
Double-sided FPC: Features two layers of copper foil, increased via holes, and conductive pathways, making it suitable for advanced applications in mobile devices, automotive instruments, and similar products.
3. Solder Mask Colors:
Available options: Yellow, black, or white.
Yellow film is recommended for the majority of general-purpose applications (e.g., cable assemblies).
Black film is commonly used in high-end or light-sensitive applications (e.g., automotive, mobile devices, LED displays).
White film includes an additional reflective coating and is ideal for products requiring light reflection (e.g., lighting fixtures, medical equipment).
4. Copper Foil Thickness Options:
Precision FPC:
Single panel: 18μm (0.5oz) or 35μm (1oz).
Double-layer board: 12μm (0.33oz), 18μm (0.5oz), or 35μm (1oz).
Standard FPC:
Single panel: 18μm/25μm/35μm (1oz)/50μm.
Double-layer board: Options include 18-25μm, 25-25μm, 35-35μm, or 35-70μm.
5. Minimum Line Width/Spacing:
Recommended minimum of 3mil for standard applications to ensure reliability and reduce defect rates.
