Nickel (Ni): 60% (providing the alloy with excellent high-temperature stability and electrical resistivity).
Chromium (Cr): 15% (enhances the oxidation resistance and strength at elevated temperatures).
Iron (Fe): Small amounts (balance), adding to the structural integrity of the alloy.
Carbon (C): Low carbon content to improve the alloy’s weldability and reduce carbide precipitation.
Performs well in environments up to 1000°C (1832°F), maintaining its structural and mechanical properties.
Excellent Oxidation Resistance: Chromium content forms a protective oxide layer, preventing oxidation and extending the service life of the material even under extreme heat.
Moderate Electrical Resistivity: The alloy has a stable electrical resistivity, making it suitable for resistors, heating elements, and other applications where resistance needs to be maintained at elevated temperatures.
Its stable resistance makes it ideal for applications requiring precise and consistent heating.
Oxidation and Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to oxidizing environments and sulfidation in high-temperature conditions, ensuring durability in industrial applications.
Scalability Resistance: Performs well in conditions where scaling could compromise the material’s integrity, making it suitable for use in environments like industrial furnaces.
Strength and Ductility: Good tensile strength at high temperatures, along with the ductility required for fabrication and welding.
