The scraper chain of the tunneling machine is an important component of the tunneling machine, mainly used for transporting materials such as coal and gangue underground in coal mines. Scraper chains are usually composed of chains and scrapers, with the chains fixed inside the open chute of the excavator and conveying materials through the movement of the scrapers.
Structure and Working Principle
The working principle of the scraper chain of the tunneling machine is to use the open chute as the material support, fix the scraper on the chain (forming the scraper chain), and use it as the traction component. When the chain moves, the scraper pushes the material forward along the chute, thereby achieving material transportation.
Material and Manufacturing Process
The material of high-strength scraper chains for mining is usually high-strength alloy steel. The manufacturing process includes steps such as cutting, forging, machining, heat treatment, welding, shot blasting, and painting. The heat treatment process often adopts intermediate frequency furnace quenching treatment to improve the hardness and wear resistance of the chain.
