This ultrasonic proximity switch sensor is designed for non-contact detection of objects across a range of distances, leveraging ultrasonic waves to determine proximity. Its performance is closely tied to the wavelength and frequency of the emitted sound waves: longer wavelengths (lower frequencies) enable longer detection ranges, while shorter wavelengths (higher frequencies) are suited for shorter, more precise measurements. With features like adjustable detection ranges, temperature compensation, and robust construction, it adapts to diverse industrial environments, including spaces with limited installation room (via external probe options for compact setups).


Key Features

Variable Detection Range: Dependent on wavelength—millimeter-wavelength compact sensors cover 300–500mm, while sensors with wavelengths >5mm can reach up to 8m, catering to both short and long-distance detection needs.

Adjustable Output Parameters: Allows customization of near/far points or measuring ranges for switching output; objects outside the set range are detected but do not trigger output changes. Additional adjustable parameters include response time, return loss, and working direction settings (for pump equipment integration).

Acoustic Emission Angle Options:

Narrow 6° angle: Ideal for detecting small objects with precision.

Wider 12°–15° angle: Suitable for detecting larger or inclined objects.

Temperature Compensation: Mitigates accuracy issues caused by temperature-induced changes in sound speed, enabling analog output models to achieve repeatability as high as 0.6mm across a broad temperature range.

External Probe Compatibility: Available in external probe configurations (with electronics housed in a conventional sensor casing), perfect for installations with limited space.
