The main encapsulation process of fiber optic PLC splitter is as follows:

1, Coupling alignment preparations: clean the waveguide and install it carefully to the waveguide frame; then clean the fiber, install one end on the precise adjusting frame of the incident end, and connect the other end with the light source (first 6.328 micron red light, it will more convenient for observation when debug light pass).

2, Observe the position of the fiber and waveguide at the incident end by microscopic observation system, and manually adjust the parallelism and end face spacing between fiber and waveguide according to computer instructions.

3, Open the laser light source, according to the image of X axis and Y axis observed by the micro system, and the light spot of the waveguide output end, to preliminarily judge the coupling and alignment situation between the fiber and the waveguide at the incident end, so as to achieve the good light transmission effect when the fiber and the waveguide are butted.

4, When the spot of the waveguide output achieve ideal effect, remove the microscopic observation system.

5, Clean the first and eighth channels of fiber array (FA) at waveguide output end and dry them by blowing balloons. Then use same method in (2) step to connect and adjust the waveguide output end and optical fiber array to the proper position. Then connect it to the two probe interface of the dual channel power meter.

6, Change the light source with 6.328 micron wavelength at incident end of fiber array to be light source with 1.310/1.550 micron wavelength, start the optical power search program to automatically adjust the position between output waveguide and fiber array, drive the optical power to be maximum value at the output end of the waveguide, and the optical power values of two sampling channels should be equal (i.e., automatic adjust the output end of optical fiber array and to achieve precise alignment with incident side of waveguide, thereby improving the overall coupling efficiency).

7, When the output power of the optical fiber array of the waveguide output reaches the maximum value and equal to the same value, then the dispensing can start.

8, Repeat step 6 again, looking for the maximum optical power received by the fiber array of waveguide output, in order to ensure the optimal coupling alignment between the waveguide and the fiber array after the dispensing, and solidify it, and then carries out the subsequent operation to complete the encapsulation.
