Application:
Deoxidizer:ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steel making.
Inoculant and spheroidizing agent: In the cast iron industry, it’s used as inoculant and spheroidizing agent. It can prevent the formation of carbides, promote precipitation and spheroidization of graphite, thereby improving the properties of cast iron.
Alloy elements addictive agent: It’s widely used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician silicon-steel.
Reducing agent: It’s commonly used as a reducing agent in the ferroalloy and chemical industry.
