1.Raw Material Handling: The production line begins with the handling of PVC raw materials, including PVC resin, stabilizers, pigments, and additives. These materials are typically stored in silos or containers and are fed into the production line through an automated system.
2.Mixing and Extrusion: The PVC resin and other additives are mixed together in precise proportions to create a homogenous compound. This compound is then fed into an extruder, where it is heated, melted, and forced through a specially designed die to form the desired shape of the PVC profile.
3.Cooling and Calibration: As the molten PVC material exits the extruder, it passes through a cooling system, which rapidly cools and solidifies the profile. This cooling process ensures the profile retains its desired shape and dimensions. Additionally, the profile may pass through a calibration unit that uses vacuum or pressure to further enhance its dimensional accuracy.
4.Haul-Off and Cutting: Once the profile is cooled and solidified, it is pulled or hauled off by a set of caterpillar-like haul-off units. These units grip the profile and transport it through the production line at a controlled speed. At a designated point, the profile is cut into desired lengths using saws or other cutting tools.
5.Surface Treatment: The cut PVC profiles may undergo surface treatment processes to enhance their appearance and performance. This may involve processes like cleaning, sanding, or embossing, depending on the specific requirements of the profiles.
6.Reinforcement Insertion (Optional): In some cases, reinforcement materials such as steel or aluminum may be inserted into the PVC profiles to provide additional strength and stability. This process typically involves automated machinery that cuts and inserts the reinforcement elements into the profile during production.
