Galvanizing is the process of bonding zinc coating to steel to prevent corrosion. The process involves electroplating, with current flowing through a salt / zinc solution with zinc anodes and steel conductors. Based on the tonnage of electroplating per year, electro galvanizing remains a dominant position in the selection of other electroplating processes. According to the statistics of the International Zinc Association, more than 5 million tons of hot-dip galvanizing and electroplating each year. [1] Galvanizing was developed in the early 20th century. At that time, electrolytes were based on cyanide. A major innovation in the 1960s was the introduction of the first acyl chloride based electrolytes. [2] In the 1980s, the alkaline electrolyte was restored only this time without cyanide. The most commonly used zinc plated cold rolled steel is SECC steel. Compared with hot dip galvanizing, electro galvanizing has the following important advantages:

there are many important characteristics of a rectifier which makes them more suitable than a low-voltage generator for electroplating processes:
Rectifier saves energy; it adopts a high-frequency switching power supply transformer and as a result, the efficiency at which it converts current improves.
