IEC60598-1 Clause 4.14.1 Test A​ Luminaire Suspending Test Device

 

1. Introduction

The luminaire suspending test device is for the load performance test of all suspended luminaire and assesses the deformation of components of the suspension system as per IEC60598-1 clause 4.14.1 (test A).

A constant evenly distributed load equal to four times the weight of luminaire shall be added to luminaire in the normal direction of the load for a period of 1h. There shall be no appreciable deformation of the components of the suspension system at the end of this period.
