Cutter suction dredger is an efficient and continuous underwater excavation vessel, widely used in port channel

Workflow
Positioning: Use anchors, piles or DP systems to accurately position the ship to the starting point of
excavation.
Lowering the bridge: Lower the bridge with the auger head and the mud suction pipe to the underwater
excavation surface.
Start the auger and mud pump: The auger rotates to break the soil layer, and the mud pump works at the
same time to generate suction.
Suction of mud: The soil broken and loosened by the auger is mixed with water to form mud and sucked
into the mud suction pipe.
Transporting mud: The mud pump pressurizes the sucked mud and transports it to the designated area
through the mud discharge pipe (such as forming land in the filling area, or discharging it into the deep water
mud dumping area).
Mobile excavation: By retracting and releasing the anchor cable (anchoring system) or swinging the bridge
(pile positioning system), the hull or excavation head moves along the predetermined trajectory (such as fan-
shaped, parallel lines) to carry out continuous and strip-shaped excavation.
Lifting the bridge: When an area is excavated or needs to be transferred, the bridge is lifted.
