Introduction:
Strigolactones (SLs), commonly known as branching hormones, are a class of signal molecules that can regulate endogenous developmental processes in plants. They can be secreted into the rhizosphere by the roots of many monocotyledonous/dicotyledonous plants. Chemicalbook can not only induce seed germination of root parasitic plants such as Orobancha and Strigolactone, but also mediate the symbiotic effect between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and plant hosts, stimulating plants to absorb phosphates and other minerals from the soil to promote their growth and development.
Uses:
As an environmental stimulus signal, it induces the germination of seeds of weeds such as Orobancha and Monopodium;
As a chemical sensory stimulus, it promotes the growth of mycorrhizae to absorb nutrients from the soil and better coordinate with plants in material transport and distribution;
As the seventh type of plant hormone, it plays an important role in controlling plant branching and hormone coordination. It cooperates with auxin and cytokinin to regulate plant branching (tillering) conditions.
