Introduction:
L-fucose is present in several human milk oligosaccharides, in sea urchin eggs and frog eggs,
and in polysaccharides from plants such as seaweed (in the form of fucoidan, a sulfated fucose
polymer), tragacanth, potato, kiwifruit, soybean, winged bean varieties, and canola.
Uses:
L-fucose regulates the activation of intestinal Treg cells by regulating the body's DC cell immune response and
the production of bile acid in the intestinal flora. At the same time, L-fucose can inhibit intestinal muscle contraction
and spasm by regulating nNOS. L-fucose can bind to viruses, bacteria, and toxins to prevent them from infecting
cells, thereby enhancing the body's resistance. In the development of new anti-cancer targeted drugs, antibody-drug
conjugates (ADCs) and extracellular drug conjugates (EDCs), which are currently actively studied and have made
major breakthroughs internationally, all use CarboConnect technology, that is, L-fucose plus amino groups to
connect antibodies and drugs together for different drug activity screening. L-fucose is one of the eight essential
sugars for the human body and one of the oligosaccharides in human breast milk (human breast milk also contains
sialic acid, N-acetylglucosamine, D-glucose and D-galactose, etc.). It is an ideal nutritional supplement and immune
enhancement factor for dietary supplements and baby food.
