Description
CTP plates are commonly made of aluminum and are coated with a light-sensitive emulsion. The emulsion is exposed to a digital image using a laser or LED imaging device, which causes the emulsion to harden in areas where the image is present. The plate is then developed, which removes the unexposed emulsion, leaving a relief image that is ready for printing.
