Applications:
Magnesium Sheet / plate in AZ31B find application in medium strength service at temperatures below 150°C. Diverse uses including aerospace, aircraft, concrete tools, 3C products (cell phone / camera / computer), speaker cones and textile machinery can all benefit from light weight AZ31B.
AZ31B is non-magnetic and has high electrical and thermal conductivity filling the requirements for RFI and EMI shielding in the electronics and computer industries.
Superplastic forming of AZ31B sheet at elevated temperatures allows production of a wide variety of intricate parts for automotive uses. Monocoque construction utilizing formed sheet can be adapted to many commercial applications.
(1) The plate is rolled out by flat rolls, so it is simple and easy to change the product specifications, and the adjustment operation is convenient, and it is easy to realize full computer control and automatic production.
(2) The shape of the plate is simple, it can be produced in rolls, and it is the largest in the national economy, so it is necessary and can achieve high-speed continuous rolling production.
(3) Due to the large aspect ratio and surface area, the rolling pressure in production is very large, reaching millions to tens of millions of Newtons. Therefore, the rolling mill equipment is complicated and large, and the product has wide and thick dimensional accuracy and shape and The control of surface quality has also become very difficult and complicated.
