Description:
The control module is used for control, protection, and monitoring functions, but some applications require backup protection. For example, backup emergency overspeed protection is always provided for turbines that do not have a mechanical overspeed bolt, and backup synch check protection is commonly provided for generator drives. In these applications, the IONet is extended to a backup protection module that is available in Simplex and triple redundant forms. The triple redundant version contains three independent sections (power supply, processor, I/O) that can
be replaced while the turbine is running. IONet is used to access diagnostic data or for cross-tripping between the control module and the protection module, but it is not required for tripping.
The IS200TSVOH1B module excels in generating signal voltage outputs, allowing for precise and accurate control of analog signals. It can produce voltage signals that correspond to specific control or modulation requirements, facilitating precise signal conditioning and control.
The module is equipped with multiple output channels, offering flexibility in generating voltage signals for different applications. It can generate voltage outputs simultaneously for multiple control or modulation points, providing versatility and efficiency in signal conditioning and control setups.
The module offers communication interfaces for seamless integration with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems or other control networks. It supports industry-standard protocols, enabling easy data exchange, remote monitoring, and control of connected equipment.
The module is configurable and programmable, allowing for customization and adaptation to specific application requirements. It can be configured with specific voltage output ranges, scaling factors, or other parameters, providing flexibility and versatility in signal conditioning and control setups.
Mark VI control systems are available in Simplex and Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) for small applications and large integrated systems with control ranging from a single module to many distributed modules. System throughput enables operation of up to nine, 21 slot VME racks of I/O boards at 40 ms including voting the data. Inputs are voted in software in a scheme called Software Implemented Fault Tolerance (SIFT). The VCMI board in each control module receives inputs from the control module back-plane and other modules through its own IONet.
